Beaumont Colson Ltd. are able to offer certified PRINCE2 practitioners to support a wide range of
potential customer requirements. Since the early 1990s we have been closely involved in
the successful management of a range of projects of varying degrees of complexity.
We have experience of an involvement in PRINCE2
project management from both the supplier's perspective and that of the customer -
obviously, at separate times on different projects!
We've been involved in a range of activities from the preparation of business case
(satisfying OGC requirements), planning projects, establishing project boards, acting as
supplier representative, customer representative, project manager, providing project
assurance and in managing post-implementational reviews. We are familiar with the OGC Gateway framework and have been
involved in several major, national IT developments.
We believe that a common sense approach to project management should be adopted. PRINCE2 is NOT meant to be prescriptive and we
are skilled in ensuring that sufficient rigour is applied to the situation as it is
demanded. Additionally, we believe that there is a pressing need to prepare and to involve
end-users throughout the project life-cycle. Our consultants are skilled at the management
of user input and in the maintenance of user involvement, essential when attempting to
engender a sense of ownership. Simple, accessible project documentation and frequent
feedback are necessary if such user involvement is to be nurtured.
Project management activities have been carried out on behalf of the Home Office, the National Probation
Directorate, individual probation areas, NHS Trusts, the NHS Cancer Screening Programmes and, of
course, there have been many internally managed projects, completed on schedule and within
budget.
