Most of our bespoke software has been written for the Microsoft platform. We have also
worked with Linux and Unix operating systems and have
expertise in a number of database environments
Development languages and environments include (but are not limited to);
We have experience of thin-client implementations (Citrix)
and have produced systems aimed at single users for small organisations through to
national case management systems in use across the UK, with equal success.
Our ability to accurately reflect users' needs in the finished product is based upon an
inclusive and accessible approach to system specification and on a development life cycle
including iterative prototyping. We are members of the British
Computer Society's Human Computer Interaction specialist group and engineer our
software products with usability in mind.
Our database designers are skilled in relational database developments and can quickly
produce optimised data schemes using a wide range of formal notations, to meet varied user
needs.
Our PRINCE2 practitioner skills help to
provide promised solutions on time and within budget. If you are considering a complex
development project and require an external project management resource, then we would be
happy to provide support throughout, from business case preparation through project
management, assurance or general consultancy services, to implementation planning and
support.
Our staff hold advanced academic qualifications in relevant disciplines, including MSc
degrees, two achieved with distinction. This substantive academic experience has helped us
to maintain a clear understanding of system development issues and to move with the times
as and when circumstances, development tools, technologies and preferred methodologies
alter. We maintain close links with our local universities and ensure regular attendance
at relevant briefings, workshops and training sessions.
